Recycling bottles. Disclaimer, club isn't responsible for accidents re bottles.

Note, the plant in the bottle is the Sedum, it is in a wick arrangement. A green wine bottle should stop the water and nutrient going green. The full moon is on Christmas day (evening), hence planting time. Repeating the text.
Was explaining to a lady >80 that cutting wine bottles for succulents is the modern trend. Using a glass cutter a heat source and an ice block. First effort was a bit wrong, so covered the sharp bits with insulation tape. The lady explained that during the WWII cutting glass bottles was a trend out of necessity. For jams and preserves. (Perhaps if on holidays for the next few days, a few wine bottle planters can be made up as presents.) Checking, found this pre WWII item from 1927.http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/108307739?searchTerm=Cutting+wine+bottles&searchLimits=l-state%3DSouth+Australia
