Wooden Wheelbarrow Planter- with free plans/instructions.

With so many visitors to the pallet barrow blog, more pictures have been added- of other recycling
projects as well.

Sheep on the front lawn. Two made, and shifted around, with the camera on a tripod.
Wonder what it would look like for wedding photos, for a rural theme.
A club member will ask his two unmarried daughters for their thoughts.

A barrow load of pictures in one.
Is that "Hoss" and Cart on bottom row, third along, or "Shrek and Cart"

A barrow made using panels cut direct from a pallet. Now off to give the dog a wheelbarrow ride. woof.

(Also, instructions, we have had many requests for the instruction's, well, one so far, note, no free steak knives.)

Stay tuned for another method of making the wheel, since hard to get the large chunk of wood.

As promised- easy to make spoked wheelbarrow wheel- the cheat is no main hub, but an outrigger hub.

Here's the link- http://teatreegullydistrictgardenclub.blogspot.com.au/2017/01/simple-wheelbarrow-wheel-using-only.html

An update on the barrows, if you want to try your hand a little one, try making one out of pop sticks. In Australia, we call them icecream sticks.

Popstick version of a wheelbarrow, with some little succulents.

Some pics so you'll want to build one.

Not the keep of Tracken, but the keeper of Tulips.

Made in 2001, one that has a protective liner, painted and is under a veranda is still going well.

Going well, the others were left unpainted, and without a liner, so didn't last. Here under cover.

All pallet, handles, and the wheel.

Barrow in the sunset. The front may be a little too wide, but can be cut back.

60 degree and 30 degree angles, for the start of the all wood wheel.

Purchased five plants, and moved them over each time for another photo, so the flowers for this pic where $10 instead of $30. lol.

Haven't posted them here, incase all viewers are spiders/robots- email is,   ttgdgc@gmail.com  to email a; "Hi", or leave a comment, so I know, someone other than a spider is looking at these posts.

Painted

With some planters made from pallet slats.

Pallet recycling, pallet wheelbarrows, pallet planter box.
A club member had a few pallets,  and made some wooden wheel barrows.

Daffs in a Wooden Wheelbarrow that was made from Pallets.
Made this one in 2001, and it's still out the front, another at parents house is also there since 2001. Will take pics in the next few days, 5/3/2014
(The wheel is so much easier to make using a certain method, write a comment, and all will be revealed, easier than first thought.)

Mesembryanthem, Livingston Daisy.
Petunia, "Super Cascade" almost hides the wheelbarrow.
Here are 3 of 5 made for giving away as presents Christmas 2001.
The pallet barrows that have lasted since 2001, have had a protective plastic between the wood and the soil.

A Rabbits Barrow rather than a Rabbits Burrow. (lol)

Amaranth- perhaps a bit too big for this wheel barrow.
(Notice, it is next to a half wine barrel, for size comparison.)

Perhaps the writer is the only one that get's excited about a nice pallet.
To think of all the things that can be made from pallets.
Now working on a method to make the barrow without having to separate all the slats.
Re-visit for updates.

The barrow segments have been cut out of the pallet, without pulling the pallet apart first.

If some of the chunks protrude into the barrow, doesn't matter, this still took 30litres of potting mix.

Used the paper at the bottom to get symmetry in the sides. The angle at the front was worked out to be three slats.

The plan, showing my age, all in inches, multiply each length by 25.4mm/inch to get it in mm.

Joke pics.

Comes in handy for wheeling the veg around.
