A Marilyn Monroe Rose question.
Is it the right thing to do, planting a Marilyn Monroe rose next to Mr Lincoln?
Mr Lincoln is the tall red rose, this one is 10ft high standard, Marilyn, the apricot rose.
What will the neighbouring flowers think?
Close up of Marilyn.
Blue Aunty Aggy's Pants like the attention passerby's give to Marilyn.
"Gold Bunny", and "Europeana" look overjoyed about having Marilyn residing in the same garden bed.
However, the Cockies Tongues are wagging. (Cockies Tongues are Templetonia retusa)
This old fashion English rose kept a stiff upper lip about the matter.
While all the other ladies of the garden, mind their own business.
Bonica had a visitor of her own.
Cecile Brunner blushed.
But, here Cecile Brunner is, standing 6ft high, and stikes from cuttings.
Blue Lavender, also in the above picture put on a lot of scent for Marilyn
"Minnie Pearl" told some jokes, after she removed her hat, with the price tag on it, she is a very funny lady. (The lady this Rose is named after- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73GD_pobP_k)
Pretty Jessica, as pretty as a rose.
Princess De Monaco, full of grace as usual about the matter.
.
Drenched after being caught in the rain, waiting for her Joe DiMaggio Rose.
Couldn't find a Joe DiMaggio rose for Marilyn on internet.
Couldn't find a Joe DiMaggio rose for Marilyn on internet.
Red Meilland looked on, single faced.
Pierre de Ronsard looked down.
But an icy reception from Iceberg.
Blue Moon was of course, over the moon having Marilyn over.
Marilyn Monroe the rose, on her first night out in our garden
These English Marigolds are gathering to see Marilyn, but they are also keeping a stiff upper lip.
(The flowers to the right at the front are opening up, should have waited a day to take the photo.)
Now off to check for "A bachelor's button in black-eyed Susan's bed!" author unknown.
